When you major in biology at ASU, you also have the chance to join our department鈥檚 pre-professional organization, BioMed Club, the National Institute of Science Club and the Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society. These opportunities help you to better connect with your classmates while pursuing leadership roles that are great additions to your resume.

Gain hands-on experiences throughout your studies.

Our undergraduate students frequently join faculty members on in-house research projects and with the National Science Foundation HBCU-UP Program. They also take advantage of established external research partnerships with collaborative institutions and organizations. Students who major in biology have the option of participating in the medical program partnerships we have with the University of South Alabama School of Medicine, the Virginia Tech Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Baptist Health Pre-Med Scholars Program and the Medical School Early Assurance Program with the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Whatever your research interests are as a major in biology, you鈥檒l have the chance to pursue them.
